Centurion Systems Role in National Systemic Transformation in Education Sector in Kenya is evident in various ways. CSL recognizes the need to enhance relevance of the education to suit the dynamic industry needs and improved efficiency, productivity and innovation. Ultimately, the interventions to improve relevance of education to industry needs is for economic prosperity at sector level (Manufacturing sector) and more so individual level where there would be job creation, entrepreneurship and improved livelihood hence poverty alleviation.
Centurion Systems in its role to support the national systemic transformation of the Education Sector has been involved in various activities and initiatives with an active engagement of CSL Managing Director, Dr. Kevit Desai. These activities and initiatives include;
JICA Master’s Degree and Internship Program of the Africa Business Education Initiative for Youth. In this initiative CSL Managing Director, Dr. Desai is engaged as a member of the Steering Committee
Permanent Working Group on Vocational Training. The MD played a leadership role as the Chairman of the PWG. The initiative was established to champion the private sector, academia, government and development partner linkages towards transformation of Kenya’s Vocational training platform through the Delegation of German Industry and Commerce in Kenya (AHK)
The Managing Director of CSL played a key role in the establishment of The Commission for University Education (CUE) – Through the leadership of our MD as a member of the selection panel to identify the chairman and members of CUE.
CSL plays an advisory role as a member of the National Commission of Science, Technology and Innovation (NACOSTI). CSL plays a role in the Advisory Committee on University Research Chairs programme.
Through its program on Mentorship and Talent management Program, CSL mentors young professionals at Kenyatta University. CSL MD is a mentor at Kenyatta University’s Business Innovation and Incubation Center (BIIC)
In efforts to bridge the gap between academia and industry, Dr. Desai is the founding chairman of LIWA Kenya Trust – LIWA (Linking Industry With Academia) is an industry led initiative that ensures academia develops skilled and relevant human capital critical to driving Kenya’s economy.

Centurion played a role as a member of the Task Force on Alignment of Higher Education (TAHEST) within the constitution in the year 2012.
CSL was a member of the Task Force for Research and Development, Science and Technology in the year 2004.
The MD – CSL played an active roles as a council member in the University of Nairobi (UoN) between 2010 and 2013.

The Managing Director was the General Co – chair of Africon 2009 –(2008 – 2009)
As a Member of Employers’ Challenge Advisory Board (KEPSA-UNDP-Ministry of National Development) in 2015 CSL through its Managing Director played a supportive role.
As one of its Social responsibility CSL undertook the rehabilitation and maintenance for one and a half years of Uhuru Highway and Kenyatta Avenue traffic lights systems free of charge to the Ministry of Local Government (2003 – 2004)
The Managing Director served as a Board Member of the year Award – AISEC Kenya (2009)
On Social solutions and social responsibility, CSL donated computers to; Catholic Parochial primary school, Nairobi Hospice and Mukuru School (2007)
CSL also offered machine support at the women for women Health camp weekend (October 2002) held at Avenue Hospital as its contribution a course that supports women empowerment.
The Managing Director Pioneered the IEEE Careers open day hosted annually by Centurion Systems (2001 – 2014)
Centurion Systems offered a free repair and maintenance of mission critical Bio-medical equipment for the Nairobi Hospice (2011)
Centurion Systems supported a nationwide annual Power Up with ICT campaign: Building ICT Communities in Kenya’s Town and Villages,(2005 – 2010)
The Managing Director is the founder of The Engineering students exhibition (from 1997 – 2013)
